How it works

Computed, not generated

Every insight in Naksh is the output of a real astronomical calculation evaluated against canonical Vedic doctrine. Same birth, same date, same answer — every time.

The core principle: Naksh does not ask an AI what your day looks like. It computes real planetary positions for your birth on your device, evaluates them against the canonical classical Vedic corpus, and renders the result in your language. AI never sees your birth data and cannot change what any insight says — at most, it polishes wording.

How an insight is built

1

Real astronomy

Real sidereal positions of the planets, the Ascendant, and the houses are calculated for your birth and the current date. The same astronomy that planetariums and professional software use, computed on your device — no server round-trip.

  • ·Lahiri ayanamsa (the standard adopted by the Indian government)
  • ·Whole Sign house system (the classical Vedic default)
  • ·Computed locally — your birth data does not leave the device
2

Classical evaluation

Those positions are evaluated against canonical Vedic doctrine — planetary dignity, classical yoga combinations, Dasha (life-period) timing, and the five limbs of the Panchanga. This is the same doctrinal framework every Vedic astrologer learns from the foundational texts.

  • ·Doctrine drawn from the Tier 1 Vedic corpus (BPHS, Saravali, Phala Deepika, Tajika Neelakanthi, and other canonical texts)
  • ·Yoga combinations, Dasha periods, transit assessments, and Panchanga elements all from classical sources
  • ·Every assessment maps to a specific chapter and verse — visible inside the app
3

Your-language guidance

The classical findings are turned into clear, readable guidance in your language. Wellness-oriented framing, modern terminology, no jargon. Available in 9 languages.

  • ·9 supported languages with localized terms and phrasing
  • ·Wellness-language framing (no fear-mongering, no "unfavorable" labels)
  • ·Citations preserved — every claim links back to its source verse
4

Five-pillar actions

The day's findings condense into five personalized actions, one for each pillar — Vibe, Vitality, Movement, Action, Connection. Each carries a citation back to the classical source.

  • ·Five daily actions covering color, nutrition, movement, focus, and mindfulness
  • ·Each action grounded in a specific Panchanga limb for your chart
  • ·Layered citations: source verse, scholarly context, and modern application

The AI boundary

Naksh uses an AI language model for exactly one thing: polishing the wording of guidance that has already been fully computed and cited. The AI layer has strict boundaries.

What the AI receives

  • Pre-written guidance text (complete sentences)
  • Pre-written chart interpretation text
  • Pre-written compatibility text

What the AI never receives

  • Your birth date, time, or location
  • Raw planetary positions or dignity scores
  • Raw compatibility totals
  • Any personally identifiable information

What this means: The AI cannot add, remove, or change what any insight says. It can only rephrase. Citations survive the polish unchanged. And the app works fully without it — the classical computation is the source of truth, the AI is just there for warmth and clarity.

Same date, same result

Because the computation is anchored in real astronomy and classical doctrine — not in AI guesswork — the guidance for any given date is reproducible. Two people born at the same time and place will see the same core insights.

The only variation is in how the AI phrases the wording. Meaning, classical sources, and recommended actions remain identical.
