Your data, your device
Naksh is designed so that your birth data never has to leave your device. Everything else is opt-in.
The short version: We don't sell data. We don't profile you. We don't track you by default. Your birth data is encrypted on your device, and cloud sync only happens if you sign in and explicitly consent.
Encrypted on-device storage
Your birth date, birth time, birth location, and consent preferences are stored using your device's built-in secure enclave — the same hardware-backed encryption used by banking apps.
iOS
Keychain Services — hardware-backed encryption tied to your device's Secure Enclave. Data is inaccessible to other apps and not included in unencrypted backups.
Android
Android Keystore — AES-256 encryption with keys generated and stored in hardware when available.
Anonymous-first design
Naksh works fully without creating an account. You enter your birth data, and the app computes your chart and daily guidance locally. No sign-in, no email, no phone number required.
Cloud sync is opt-in only
If you want your data to survive a device change, you can enable cloud sync. This requires two separate actions — both of which you can revoke at any time.
Sign in
Create an account via Google, Apple, or Facebook SSO.
Grant cloud sync consent
Explicitly opt in to cloud storage in your privacy settings. Signing in alone does not enable cloud sync.
Cloud data is encrypted at rest on our server with field-level AES-256-GCM encryption for sensitive fields.
No tracking by default
Analytics are disabled until you explicitly grant consent during onboarding. Even when enabled, analytics events contain only screen names and feature usage patterns — never birth data, never personal identifiers.
What we do not do: We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not share data with data brokers. We do not use your birth data for any purpose other than computing your guidance on your device.
Your data rights
Naksh complies with GDPR, CCPA, and India's DPDPA. You have full control over your data at all times.

Download all your data as JSON from your profile at any time
Delete
Permanently remove all data from device, cloud, and authentication
Withdraw consent
Revoke cloud sync or analytics consent independently at any time
Correct
Edit your birth data from the chart screen whenever you need to
