Naksh computes the real positions of the 9 Vedic planets, your Ascendant (Lagna), and the 12 houses for your birth and the current date — using the same astronomical library professional astronomers use. Those positions are then evaluated against canonical Vedic doctrine: yoga combinations, planetary dignity, Dasha timelines, and the Panchanga elements drawn from foundational classical texts.

The result is turned into plain-language guidance in your language, and every insight cites the source verse it comes from. Computation happens on your device — nothing is guessed, nothing is randomly generated.

Your birth data is encrypted on your device using your platform's hardware-backed secure storage — the same protection your banking apps use. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.

If you choose to enable cloud sync, your data is stored encrypted on our server with field-level AES-256-GCM encryption applied before transmission. You can export or delete your data at any time from the Profile screen.

Naksh offers two levels of matching. Quick Match (Level 1) shares only two numbers: your Moon Nakshatra index and Moon Rashi index. No birth dates, times, or locations are transmitted.

Full Match (Level 2) encrypts your birth data with AES-256-GCM on your device before sharing. Only someone with the correct share code can decrypt it. All share codes automatically expire and are deleted after 48 hours.

Go to the "You" tab (Profile) and scroll to "Privacy & Data." From there you can:

Export: Download a copy of all your data and copy it to your clipboard.

Delete: Permanently delete your account by typing "DELETE" to confirm. This removes all data from your device, our server, and your sign-in record. This action cannot be undone.

Naksh supports 9 languages: English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Spanish, Russian, and German. The app automatically detects your device language and renders guidance in your language with locale-appropriate terminology.

Every piece of guidance is computed from your unique birth chart combined with the current planetary positions. Two people born at different times and places will see completely different guidance for the same day. Naksh also adapts to your feedback over time, refining the tone and focus of what you see.

Naksh draws on classical Vedic timing traditions (Jyotish), but it is designed as a personal rhythm tool, not a fortune-telling service. The key differences:

Computed, not generated: Every insight comes from real astronomical calculation, not from generic sun-sign content.

Cited, not claimed: Every insight references the specific classical text, chapter, and verse it draws from.

Anti-addiction: Naksh gives you finite daily content and encourages you to leave the app. There is no infinite scroll, no engagement hooks, and no push to keep checking.

Self-reflection, not prediction: The guidance is framed for planning and self-awareness, never as predictions about your future.
